MBA – Finance, University of Western Australia
Josh’s interests lie at the intersection of property, design, and technology. He joins the MSRED as part of the MIT Young Leaders program to build commercial development capability that will complement his background in residential property.
Born in forest and surf country on the south coast of Western Australia, Josh moved to Perth upon completing his schooling. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Master of Business Administration (Finance Specialisation) with Distinction as a Tracey Horton Scholar, and a Graduate Certificate in Business. Josh is attending MIT as a Fulbright Scholar, supported by the Kinghorn Foundation and the Western Australian Government. The US-Australia Fulbright program promotes cross-cultural exchange and research and commercial collaboration. Josh’s research will be focussed on sustainable and affordable development.
Josh’s property career spans over fifteen years where he has held consulting, sales & marketing management, and general management roles with one of Australia’s largest property groups. He has overseen several billion dollars in residential sales, ran multi-million-dollar marketing programs, and led a successful company turnaround. For two years prior to joining MIT, Josh was a co-founder and commercial director in a software company building AI software for Australian defence and intelligence operations.
To relax and have fun Josh enjoys surfing, yoga, and nature.
