Course Description
This course is intended for students interested in multi-family housing development who wish to understand the fundamental issues and requirements of mixed-income housing finance and investment. It will provide participants with an understanding of how affordability is achieved under various scenarios, including the use of public subsidies, and offers an overview of federal and state policies and programs targeting housing affordability.
11.S966, the 6-unit version of the class, is a pre-requisite for 11.435 Mixed Income Housing Development, which is taught in the first half of Spring Term (H3), which aligns with the FHLB Affordable Housing Development Competition.
