Climate Risks and Real Estate Markets
Are you looking to learn more about how climate risk can impact real estate investments? Join MIT/CRE on Thursday, April 25 @ 11 AM EDT for an informative webinar with Climate Alpha featuring a panel of esteemed researchers and professionals.
About
Real estate has constantly been exposed to extreme weather events. Still, an increase in those events has greater financial consequences borne by owners, occupiers, insurers, and governments. Thus the following questions arise. To which extent do CRE markets price in the risks from extreme weather and climate change? Through which channels do these risks on value materialize? What role do insurers play? Are resilience measures the solution? To discuss these questions, the MIT Center for Real Estate is organizing a webinar on climate risks and real estate market.
Webinar Structure
The duration of the webinar will be one hour. After a short introduction by the moderator, each of the three panelists will have ten minutes to discuss their view on the topic. The moderator will follow up with questions from the audience.
