Michael Caliva, Vice President of Development, Skanska USA Commercial Development

Mike is a Vice President of Development with Skanska USA Commercial Development. In Boston, Skanska is developing 380 Stuart Street, a 642,000 SF net-zero office project in the historic Back Bay neighborhood, and Longwood Place, a 1.7 million square foot mixed-use development that will bring new life science, office, housing, retail, and community space to the Longwood Medical Area. 

Prior to joining Skanska in 2018, Mike worked in acquisitions for STAG Industrial, an industrial focused REIT. Previously, Mike worked in the LIHTC development industry where he consulted nationally for developers and investors at Candeur Group and structured investment vehicles for Boston Financial Investment Management. Mike started his career at a private equity real estate fund of funds.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University and received a Certificate in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Finance Association and for Project Place, a Boston nonprofit. Additionally, Mike sits on Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Real Estate Development Leadership Council and is a member of NAIOP.
