“This is MIT,” says Siqi Zheng, Faculty Director of the Center for Real Estate. “We have excellent teaching — but that’s not enough. We need to have a strong research focus to support teaching because we need to introduce our brilliant students to the field’s frontiers.”
In a recent MIT News article, CRE Directors Siqi Zheng, Kairos Shen and Associate Director Lisa Thoma share the direction of the Center. This includes new courses in the master’s degree curriculum and additional online professional courses. Prof. Zheng is encouraging global research collaborations especially with Asian universities and alumni through the new, “MIT Asia Real Estate Initiative.”
