The MIT Portugal Program (MPP2030) awarded Siqi Zheng’s team a 2021-2022 seed grant for their proposed project: “Climate Risk Perception and Its Impacts on Location Attractiveness and Real Estate Asset Value in Portugal: A Computational Approach Using Social Media, Survey, and GIS Data.”
The MIT Portugal Program is an international collaboration that demonstrates an investment in science, technology, and higher education can have a positive, lasting impact on the economy, addressing key societal issues through quality education and research. Specifically, MPP2030 focuses on fostering research between MIT and Portuguese universities, research institutes, laboratories, companies, and other entities. Siqi’s project will fall in the category of Sustainable Cities.
