John (Donghyun) Lee

John (Donghyun) Lee is a dedicated professional with 2.5 years of experience in real estate investment banking at Korea Investment and Securities. During this time, he had the opportunity to execute complex financial transactions of real estates including multifamily housings, hotels, golf courses and more. Some of his main transactions include Jeju Dream Tower Syndication (2020) and Crystal County Golf Course Syndication (2019).

After his experience in investment banking, John transitioned to portfolio management at ESR Kendall Square REIT. Over the course of 2 years, he had the privilege of managing a diverse portfolio, primarily focusing on logistic centers in suburban areas. As a REIT manager, he was responsible for the financing, acquisition, and operation of six logistic centers worth of approximately $750 million.

During his time at ESR Kendall Square REIT, John learned that the company’s founders were graduates of the prestigious MIT Master of Science in Real Estate Development (MSRED) program. Recognizing the immense value of the program, John is looking forward to joining to enhance his knowledge and skills in the field of real estate development.

After completing the program, John aims to leverage his financial background and experience in portfolio management to finance deals that can create sustainable impact to his community. He is particularly interested in developing innovative financial structures that can deliver profits and values to all parties involved in the transaction.

In his leisure time, John finds solace in activities such as golfing and skiing.
