Sungmoon Lim

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Master in City Planning Candidate; Researcher, Sustainable Urbanization Lab

Sungmoon is a graduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and DUSP. She is currently working as a researcher for the Sustainable Urbanization Lab, where her work focuses on decarbonizing the built environment. She also collaborates with Paris-based startup Roofscapes to transform untapped rooftops into accessible green roofs, mitigating the effects of climate change in cities. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of climate, computing, and cities: she is especially interested in building geospatial tools to make urban centers more sustainable and livable. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
