Zac’s background in design as an undergrad and public service as a Marine Corps officer is intersecting as he steps into the real estate realm. After completing undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College as a studio art major with a focus in architecture and photography, he was commissioned as a United States Marine Corps Officer. He served 9 1/2 years specializing as a Weapons and Systems Officer in the F/A-18D fighter/attack jet and flew with VMFA(AW)-242 in Iwakuni, Japan. He wrapped up his career as an instructor with Naval Aviation School Command in Pensacola, Florida. As a Senior Marine and instructor, he advised commanding officers for Navy and Marine Corps echelon 3 commands, and taught and mentored naval flight students from the Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Navy and foreign militaries.
While recently working as a fourth-generation member of his family’s Boston based real estate management firm, Zac experienced the positive impact that an environmentally aware and socially conscious development can have on the local community. While at MIT, Zac is looking forward to learning how to successfully upgrade currently managed assets and assess potential new developments with a focus on socio-economic concerns that will better the firm and serve the greater Boston community.
Zac currently lives in Cambridge with his wife and two daughters.
