Larry joins MIT with four years of real estate finance and investment experience. Prior to his graduate studies, Larry worked in Fitch Ratings’ Structured Finance Group as a Senior Analyst, where he evaluated credit and property-level risks for over $10 billion in assets within the CMBS, CRE CLO, and SASB sectors. His work included underwriting, market analysis, and developing new models to enhance credit assessments. Alongside Group Credit Officers, Larry also helped research and publish external reports covering CMBS office refinance potential/default risk, secular trends, and outlook.
Before joining Fitch Ratings, Larry began his career at Valley National Bank, a regional commercial bank, where he worked in the healthcare, CRE, and C/I departments and internal investments. Larry attended Bentley University in Waltham, MA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
On the side, Larry operates industrial properties in North New Jersey and seeks industrial infill projects. Additionally, Larry’s interest in real estate data led him to start “ROAM,” a data venture that provides and standardizes in-place CMBS data with the goal of creating data transparency in real estate.
After completing the program, Larry ultimately aims to leverage his experience and network to revitalize communities impacted by industrial decommission and decline by developing a sustainable industrial backbone that employs and shapes the local community.
In his free time, Larry enjoys cooking for friends and family, writing, and breaking 100 in golf on a good day.
