The academic directors are, Siqi Zheng, faculty director of CRE, Piet Eichholtz, professor at Maastricht University, Nils Kok Chief Economist at GeoPhy, and Juan Palacios, assistant professor at Maastricht University. The team designed the curriculum for experienced professionals within the real estate industry, asset management, the finance industry, and other areas within the built environment. The courses provide both in-depth insights into the real estate investment industry, as well as leadership and management skills. Each course is taught by real estate leaders who have had a formative and transformational impact in their field.

The Global Real Estate Leaders Program consists of courses taught over 4 week-long sessions, across two continents. Aside lecturers and group discussions, participants will be led on a number of site visits by leading architects and project managers to some of the most innovative and advanced buildings and ongoing development projects in Europe and North America.

After a successful completion of the program, participants will be prepared to act on current and future challenges as leaders in the industry; inflation, rising interest rates, climate risk, labor shortages, and technological changes. This is marked by receiving a professional diploma and a certificate for each block completed. There is also the opportunity to collaborate further with faculty in different activities such as teaching, entrepreneurship activities or industry relationships of the center.
