Dr. Dongxiao Niu is a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Center for Real Estate. Prior to joining MIT, Dongxiao worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Maastricht University’s Department of Finance. Dongxiao obtained her PhD in Urban Economics from Tsinghua University.
Her research interests are real estate finance and urban economics, with a strong focus on climate risks and real estate transformation. She has published papers in journals like Journal of Regional Science, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Urban Studies, China Economic Review, Journal of Economic Surveys, etc.
