Leo is a dedicated young professional with broad expertise in business development, marketing, and project management. Born in Japan and raised in Spain, Germany, and Switzerland, he worked in several European countries, gaining valuable experience in different national real estate markets. Leo joined MIT to advance his knowledge in finance and investment, aiming to specialize in infrastructure development.
Leo holds a B.Sc. in architecture from the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH). After graduation, he interned at the renowned architecture firm MVRDV in Rotterdam, where he gained experience in the global real estate market, secured strategic partnerships, and supported competition submissions.
Before joining MIT, Leo worked at GVG, a Munich-based real estate development company. He managed various development projects, including residential buildings, mixed-use districts, and infrastructure projects. Notably, he oversaw the redevelopment of the Munich East Railway station, managing larger budgets (+ €18 million), project planning, cost control, and advising the management board on strategic investments.
His work experience has fueled his passion for infrastructure projects and investment opportunities. At MIT, he plans to explore infrastructure investments that promote sustainable growth and maximize social welfare. Additionally, he aims to facilitate capital inflow from diverse investors to drive long-term development.
