B.S. Civil Engineering, George Washington University
Michael joins the Center for Real Estate as a humble recipient of the Blake Eagle Fellowship. Prior to MIT, he spent seven years in Construction Management, leading multifamily (adaptive reuse and ground-up), commercial office, hospitality, government, and automotive projects from napkin-sketch budget through execution. His experience across both preconstruction and execution of complex projects has cultivated a deep understanding in project costing, value engineering, procurement management, and project sequencing.
Michael is a graduate of George Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. Following graduation, he worked for a large general contracting firm in Washington, DC, and in 2022 co-founded a boutique Construction Management firm, supporting a diverse client base with end-to-end advisory and management services spanning predevelopment due diligence, preconstruction planning, full-scope construction management, and general contracting.
Outside of his career in real estate, Michael proudly served eight years as an Infantry Officer in the Army National Guard and is a graduate of the US Army Ranger School. Through the MSRED program, Michael aims to deepen his understanding of real estate finance, capital structuring, and investment strategy to enhance the feasibility of projects. Building on his expertise in design and construction, he seeks to expand his knowledge of housing market dynamics, urban policy, sustainable real estate practices, and the collective integration of these elements into the framework of future-oriented cities. As American cities face mounting challenges in meeting demand for attainable housing, he is eager to develop the tools to navigate financial and regulatory complexities to fill critical gaps in the housing market and create resilient communities that deliver long-term value.
Michael, along with his wife and daughter, will be relocating to Cambridge from the Washington DC area. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, he is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
