Shawn Callahan

Shawn joined MIT Center for Real Estate in early 2025, he is currently the Financial and Administrative/Lab Assistant. Shawn helps the CRE staff members with fiscal-related functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and provides administrative support to ensure operational efficiency.  His work is evenly split between supporting the center’s core operations and the Sustainable Urbanization Lab. 

Shawn brings to his work at CRE experience in accounting and budget management at various banking institutions. On the three weekdays he is not at the CRE, he works at MIT D-Lab in a similar capacity.

Shawn studied finance and economics at the University of South Carolina. He is originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts, where he spends his free time watching hockey with his family and playing trivia with his peers.
