Mens, Manus, and Machina
Researchers from the Asia Real Estate Initiative are collaborating on the project “Mens, Manus, and Machina—How AI Empowers People, Institutions, and Cities in Singapore” (M3S) at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART). The project explores the potential of human-machine collaboration, tackling important issues related to AI and social adaptation. It investigates how to redefine our relationship with technology and explores how institutions can adapt to support livability, sustainability, innovation, and social welfare.
In July 2024, the project team Ambra Amico, Fabio Duarte, and Siqi Zheng participated in a three-day workshop series hosted by SMART and presented their research at the public symposium organized in Singapore. The event brought together world-class scholars from MIT, SMART, the National University of Singapore (NUS), and Singapore Management University (SMU), as well as practitioners and policymakers. It sparked insightful discussions on how AI can drive the transformation toward a more adaptable and resilient society.
